Latest from BBC...

2357: Garcia imploring his ball to fly further than he's hit it on 18 but it either refuses, or just plain can't hear as it thuds into the centre of the green, leaving him another ridge to put over for birdie.

2353: Back on 16 and McIlroy, yep, you've guessed it. I don't need to finish this entry do I? The lead is nine from Jason Day who also birdied 16 moments earlier to go to -8. Yang can only par so Day is on course for a second successive second place in a major.

Sky Sports were saying he is one of the greatest "Irish" golfers of all time!!!

Very happy for him and all of the Ulster folk.

Hi DD

Thanks ;)

Do you remember when Eddie Irvine came second in a race in the GP organisers 'mistakenly' flew an Irish Tricolour - and *Irvine* received death threats form 'loyalists... !!???

The great thing was his just laughed it off and said that you could call him anything you like !!

Hi Mark,

What about Neil Lennon? He declared for Northern Ireland (he could have played for RoI) and THEN got death threats!!! He is still an odious little man who is largely responsible for his own troubles.

FYI Eddie Irvine now lives in Killiney in South County Dublin for tax purposes he says.

Hi DD

the real reason is that he is 'frightened' of me... I had to babysit him once... I hung up upside down - with his Granddad's permission .... when he was being 'naughty'... he did say he'd get me when he was bigger than me.. ;)
