Thanks for all your replies, we were buying a scooter (Chinese make) but as we know nothing about scooters and the seller is not happy to let us get it checked over by an expert ( I would have thought this a perfectly reasonable request) we are withdrawing from the purchase, so if anyone is aware of a second hand 125cc scooter in good condition, available for sale please get in touch.
