Well, in this thread http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/65718.asp we offered local businesses the chance to sponsor Pearl's stage (315TL plus cost of signs) and we had no takers so, http://www.satellitecyprus.com (in conjunction with an anonymous benefactor) is not only sponsoring the event, 'they' are donating a raffle prize: a 42" Flat Screen TV and genuine ADMC HD receiver, installation and 1 year's subscription - see the website for full details (worth 2,500TL)

Pearl's music and dance extravaganza in aid of "Tulips" and is being held over two nights, this Friday and Saturday (24th [Eleanor Rigbys - Catalkoy] and 25th [The Lodge - Catlakoy])

Entry costs 10TL including your first drink, with 5TL going to Tulips. Everyone gets an automatic entry into the raffle, with extra raffle tickets being sold on both nights. The draw takes place on the second night when the lucky winner will be presented with the prize.

Is it going to be 1 prize or 2 prizes,1 prize a 42" flat screen TV and 1 prize the all singing and dancing SAT TV package ?

Hi Amanda, we thought about splitting the prizes and offering one prize each night, but we decided to keep them together as a complete system and raffle them over the two nights.



EVERY penny of the raffle takings is going direct to Tulips - this prize has been donated at NO cost from a very generous person (not me)



On top of the door money (5TL per person) and the guitar solo money (make sure that you search the back of your sofas for loose change before you come) we should raise a lot of money for Tulips over the two nights !

On Friday night, 'fine-dining' at Eleanor Rigbys is sold out, but members can still make reservations for the outside barbecue buffet or, just reserve seating for a party.

It's going to be standing room only so, if having seating is important to you, please visit http://www.liverockclassics .com and reserve a table.



There are still VIP Dining tables left for Saturday night at the Lodge and you can also, reserve a table for your party (whether you are eating or, not) but 'both' nights are going to be busy so, get in early !



The fantastic raffle prize - 42" Flat Screen TV and genuine ADMC HD receiver and installation will be raffled over the two nights with ALL proceeds (NOT just profit) from the sale of raffle tickets going to Tulips and we are expecting to raise a tidy sum. Everyone gets a free entry into the raffle just by attending !



Both events are going to be 'well' covered in the media so, if you don't want your 'piccie' in the paper, better not come or, hide your face !

We are going to set the TV system up today and have it working so that, people can call in and have a look and a demonstration prior to the event.

Before the end of the weekend, someone is going to have a big smile on their face and be thanking their lucky stars that they came to the "Music and Dance Extravaganza"

Has anyone purchased a 42" TV lately and if so, from where and how much ?

I want to get one today and I am short of time and need some assistance. Can anyone help with advice ?

Also, I need to buy a cheap, but sizeable metal/plastic gazebo to house the TV and Satellite equipment at the venues - anyone got any suggestions ?

Bought the TV today - 42" 100Hz from Arcelik - Local supplier with good customer service.

If anyone is interested, they have a special offer on at the moment - 1280TL

Managed to find a gazebo too - 150TL, last one in stock !

Went to the metal workers and they have started the extension for the stage - they say that it will be ready for today (Thursday) - Let's hope so.

Hi Amanda, thanks for calling in last night. I hope you got some good pictures. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to completely finish everything regarding the stage. It was just too hot when we were putting it up during the day.

Anyway, we're at it again today. We are taking everything down from the Aqua Park (Eleanor Rigby) and putting it back up at the Lodge in Catalkoy.

We will be drawing the winning ticket for the 42" TV and Satellite System - 1760 TL was raised last night and we are hoping for more tonight.

Thanks to everyone that attended last night. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.

See everyone at the Lodge tonight 7pm - Midnight - bring your dancin' shoes !

That stage is a little bit special isnt it?



Thought there would of been a better turn out,maybe the 10TL entrance is not every ones cup of tea,even though it included the 1st drink and a ticket into the fabulous raffle prize,Its a brilliant prize for sure.
