It's likely to be a 'Carob Rat' - they make great little pets, unlike the European Black Rat!

It cannot be a snake - all snakes swallow their food whole and so never leave scraps.

That would be the famous Cyprus Bald Tail Squirrel you have there - there are two types, one is small and makes a nest in soft stuff the other is large and generally lives in the under hanging leaves of large palm trees or up inside the dense leaves of other trees. Sticky traps catch the first type but the second type will carry off the sticky trap and the brick it is tied to. Good luck.

Due to increase in rat sightings i wish to request all residents of Emtan 2 /3 and Seavistas. PLEASE disinfect BBQ'S before using. Store all food in sealed containers. Ensure all rubbish is put in bins and that lids are closed everynight. Request all 3 sites put poison down drains to erradicate them NOW.

For 'idiots' like myself who don't know, snakes swallow food whole, they do not 'store' food - (which i was in an anacconda film), so if you discover half eaten food, it is not a snake, more likely to be a mouse or rat.
