Thanks to the eagle eye of my daughter, I managed to remove this critter from my room BEFORE going to sleep in its presence. Can anyone identify it? Poisonous? Thanks.

The banding on the legs is very distinct and both the Huntsman and wolf don't appear to have such emphasised markings....

Last week I had a knock on the the door and a man from Girne Belediyesi (his T-shirt said so) equipped with a mastic looking gun in hand and said, "spider", went under the kitchen sink and then the two shower/WC's closets squirting a brown, glue substance, thanked me and left! No charge but wonder if I've been bugged! First time I've ever experienced this Municipality service.

The Wolf Spider is also very hairy whereas the one Mark has is almost shiny on the legs.

Richard

The guys were laying bait for cockroaches and that activity would have been part and parcel of a complete exercise of spraying the drains/soak away's etc around your property. The service is free and can be requested at any time. The reason you may not have had it done before is because you may have been out when they called. Did they ask you to sign a book?

Dave

Nothing signed but looked out from my balcony after he left and saw two of his colleagues spraying the outside, bottom part of neighbouring apartments. All dressed in Girne Belediyesi uniform.

maruby95/Msg 1:

It appears to me that 'your' spider is on its back - this makes it harder to identify.
