I was thinking of going to Turkey for a weekend while I am in TRNC, I can't find any flights on Turkish Airlines website from Ercan to Turkey.

I don't even know where they fly to in Turkey (Istanbul obviously) Where else?

Has anyone else done it?

Anyone gone on the ferry

Thank you

We have flown to Istanbul for around £45 return, and to Adana for around the same price. It is not too expensive, but depends how early you book, flights are cheaper the earlier you book, and which airline.

Forgot to say, flights we had were with either Pegasus or Atlasjet and we normally use Ankara Travel in Girne to check prices - and get the best ones - and book through them.

We too have used Ankara Travel to book short stay/flights to Istanbul from Girne - excellent service.

On the Turkish airlines website you need to select North Cyprus and then Lefcosa.

If only going for a short stay it is better to use airline which lands at Aturturk airport as its easier & quicker to go to the centre where the main attractions are.

It takes more than 1 hour to go from Sabia Gotchen airport to go to the centre then a sea bus.

Turtle Msg 6, Anne Msg 8, - Istanbul has so much to offer you could stay there for a long week or fortnight and still not have enjoyed or seen it all.

For an idea or two look at the following link with 3 & 4 day tours in Istanbul and other short in Turkey from £139.00 per person sharing - http://www.fezbus.co.uk/Short_Tours_Turkey.php - flights are easily available for most dates - we can help you if you want http://www.flightholiday.co.uk
