Shipped my Chrysler Van back to UK with Dolphin (£990 all in) I left it at the port and was told that it would be shipped on Friday, it shipped on the following Wed, I was never advised that it had arrived, yet received a call from Dolphin in Northern Cyprus to advise that due to extended storage at port, I had been charged 3 days storage fees, yeah, right, finally called Dolphin in UK (Enfield) and told car was being cleared by Customs, and should be ready by Thursday, went to Dolphin to pick up car, told there was an additional charge due to charge for inspection of £51.00, paid additional charge and car brought out. I was then told that car had damaged windscreen, but could take it and repair it and send bill to Dolphin, Windscreen had a huge crack from tax disc area to middle of screen, who looks at these vehicles when they arrive could someone not call me so I would not waste a trip. Returned on Monday to pick up car. WILL NEVER US DOLPHIN AGAIN HOW DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS.......

I thought it was brought out on transporter, but really do not know, they claim an arm came down on border barrier and broke the windscreen, they acted as if they wanted me to take the vehicle and arrange for replacement, and bill them, Right, if I would ever get paid.

Our friend used them for shipping his Merc ML, it arrived dented with a broken bumper. From the marks on it it looked as if they had stacked boxes on top. Scrapes and grooves everywhere. He ended up paying for the repair to be done. He did complain but they just gave him the run around.

When we were coming out they let us down. They wanted to park our brand new car and quad bike in a public car park in north London cos they didn't have room to sore it inside the premises. We just walked away and sent it roll on roll off with euromed. It arrived ok but they had stolen everything we had left inside it. That happened during the time it was locked in Famagusta port! Our things were in it as we watched it come of the boat, when we went to collect it they were gone. Trust none of them!!

Is the safest way to transport a car in a container? Ask Jo Valentine what her thoughts are on it.

I would drive it down to Cyprus. The fuel & insurance would cost the same as the transport costs, but hey! You can get a free ride through the most beautiful cities in Europe and Turkey all the way to Cyprus

Its best to go by container if possible.

When shipping by RORO the vehicle is moved many times and by various people onto the ships and moved around storage yards. If however it is in a container there is more security well worth the extra money.

Hi

If you live in the North of England it isn't necessary to take your vehicle to London or Felixstowe. We have the facilities to load cars into containers here in Doncaster. Please ask for more details. Also return vehicles to the UK.

cheers

We transported our classic car in a container with Euromed and had no problems at all. They were very helpful and professional.
