Since the advert from Nethouse a couple of weeks ago advertising these fantastic fast connections for less than we are paying for now, we are receiving a really poor connection. This has not happened in the past. Do you think this is a scam to get people to pay and forget about their original customers. I say this as I have telephoned them and have received all sorts of excuses. Is anyone else receiving this problem? Bob

Thanks Hans. Just seems like what it was with Sunny Cyprus a couple of years ago. More customers and the same bandwidth. Just share it around? Bob

Has anyone found out if the new charges/speeds are applicable to existing customers? In response to the original question, the connection does seem less reliable than previously.

| Hi, I got a connection fro them about 6 weeks ago and it does seem to have a lot of problems. some days it's ok, but not exactly brilliant. Four days in the 6 weeks were just terrible and a lot of small hick ups every day. |i like to listen to bbc radio 4 and have to restart it several times a day. I have nothing to compare it with. I had 4g with the Gezz for a year and found that very good, but of course if you download anything big its soon used up. |

Nethouse, I see you have ignored the question at message 5, any reason for that?

Since my last post a Nethouse engineer came this morning to see what the problem was. He brought the new Motorola kit and installed it, however the subsystem is still not in place, he said it would take about a week. My problem hasn't gone away, still getting about 500kbyts when I pay for 2Mbyts. Still think that its because of the new system they are trying to install. Anyone else having the same problem? Bob

@ msg 13, RoxyBob: (...) still getting about 500kbyts when I pay for 2Mbyts. (...) ▶ Bob, you (we!) are ONLY getting what we pay for if no-one shares the available bandwith. In TRNC you'll NEVER get what you pay for. But "they" (including Nethouse) didn't tell us that when we paid again far too much money for a basically inferior, shared connection. P.S. Nethouse-representative: if you read this tell me that I'm factually wrong.

message 14------------talking through your backside as usual..............you never get the speed you pay for no matter where in the world you are !! I pay nethouse 800 tl for 12 months 4Mb ADSL and it is consistant at 3.75 to 4.0 ...FACT ! ( and it's not capped )

@ msg 15, steveafc: You compare apples with pears. Roxybob in msg 1 has a (shared) WIRELESS Nethouse connection and NOT ADSL. So "who is talking through his backside as usual..."?

Does anyone know if ADSL connection in the Lapta area is any better than it used to be, we have a landline and would prefer ADSL but last year we had so many problems it just wasn't worth it.

Washerman re 12 WHY do you keep posting a link to a thread whereby 'folk' ( MANY dubious ids ..15 + first and only posts and many more under 5-10 ) 'praise' you for installing a TV system that any 'bin lid installer' can catch and you can't guarantee continued reception of - re pay tv ? As Mustafa ( Iceman) points out - his phone number has been the same for 30 years and it is STILL his biz.. 2/ If you are an 'agent' for these companies - Can you explain why aren't you pushing them to give better service ? ..I've just had an Extend client asking me if I changed the vpn password...as they can't connect - AGAIN... 75% of "I can't connects come from Extend clients".. I have folks connecting from places like Columbia and Angola and they don't have the issues folks in 'TRNC' KEEP getting. Soon folks are going to see how by-passing the Turkey connection is a far superior route and I suspect it will take 'outside' competition to improve things for folks :(
