Does anyone else try and keep an eye on what is being keyed into the scales and till when your shopping is being priced? They try and do it all so quickly that you cannot see what they are doing and then try not to give you the itemised receipt. Having noticed once that I was grossly overcharged for something I now ask for the receipt and nearly every time I go there they get a price wrong, in their favour of course! Sometimes it is just an extra item for 2 or 3 tl added at the end and when challenged they tell me it is a mistake and give me the money bach but other times eg today kilo of tomatoes @ 1.49 instead of 49! I known it is not a lot but it is most annoying.

I used to go there but found the same scenario as you so now don't bother with it.

Never a problem at Y Beles in Alsancak, itemised receipt printed, and always rounded down.

Plus the daughter asks (in Turkish) for the outside leaves of the lettuce and we get a full bag every time gratis.

Use them all the time.

However, as they now have the once only 19l water bottles, we don't get them any more, don't want to contribute to the rubbish mountain.

Once for example at the petrol station i asked for 40 liras worth i knew when i left i had only had 20 liras worth of petrol put in, they stand in front of the pump so you cannot see what they put in.
