Guys and girls!!



Does any one know if there are any job opportunites for an IT skilled person or where shall he be looking for such job. Is there any demand / scope for such skilled person in this island or really he should be looking elsewhere

I say this because unless you are a Cypriot, working here in a specialised job like this is almost impossible as, like elsewhere in the world, you are not permitted to work unless the employer can convince the authorities that no home-grown talent is available....

Of course if you can get contract work, working from home, that home can be anywhere in the world...



Some people take on contracts to do applications programming, web design or database design and construction working from home... not me... but it can be done...

I have found out at long last,like lots of others,North Cyprus only want our money

The advocates i have had contact with are all crooks,most of the smiles are,please eat at my place.

There are lots of countries out there that have ,sea,sand etc,and have a decent IT network in place,plenty of water,cost of living has gone through the roof and still climbing.

Pardon the pun...Forget IT... Working in the TRNC is a nightmare in any field due to the minimum wage being all you can expect from employers. Being highly experienced in the IT field my advice for you would be to work in a country that will pay you your worth and value your experience.



You could however, start your own company...but beware, this is not cheap and If you decide to go into it with a business partner, make sure you put everything in writing or you could end up robbed of your investment and losing everything......it happens!



As for the South...very difficult to get work unless you can speak Greek...you may be lucky though, so worth applying for jobs first. One thing I found was they are not interested as soon as you mention the North.
