Hi,i am driving from uk to girne,any travel tips,also what luggage/cargo can i bring,my car is an x5 4.4 2006,can i leave it here for a year,i am in a long term rental so i want to load my car with my houshold item,ie amplifier speakers microwave,tools,small tv,cookery items etc etc,all small items really ,all items will be in boxes,will i have trouble at customs when i get off the antalaya ferry, experianced advice would be grateful,cheers

No you won't have any problems at customs, but there is no car ferry deporting from Antalya. The car ferry from Turkey to Cyprus Girne is from Tasacu near mersin.

make sure that you have a list of the electrical items which you will need to hand in the customs office at girne they will then tell you how much duty there going to charge you, which you pay at the time in lira
