There is a German Sheperd with a collar roaming loose near Vaha Spa, 2 days ago 2 dogs died of poisoning in this area. Does anybody know who owner is, This dog is also being a nuisance to other peoples dogs in the area, if he isnt claimed soon i fear he may end up like the others. Somebody must be missing their pet.

It was our dog, that was poisoned & died. He was a large brown dog with white marking on his chest, eighteen months old. A fairly big female dog that seemed to have been abandoned from nearby (which my wife had been feeding for the last month) also died at the same time. The female had started visiting our house everyday & the two of them used to traipse around the three houses here opposite Kenan Sokak & did no harm. The other two houses are vacant much of the year and our dog used to act as security guard for all three houses. Poison had been left by the British owners local son-in-law in three or four containers around one of the houses apparently to get rid of snakes. Normally our dog wouldn't touch anything & was never left hungry anyway, but sadly not this time. We have lost a really soft-hearted, incredibly gentle companion that had become a large part of the family. 3 days on and my wife is still finding it difficult to accept & has little interest in doing anythi

Msg. 7, I do feel so sorry for you and your wife. What idiot puts poison down to kill snakes? Just leave them alone and they "wander" off by themselves and do no harm to anyone, particularly as the houses are unoccupied. The mentality of local people regarding poison never ceases to amaze me!! Do you ever come into contact with this individual? Tango1

Our friend who lives near Mercure lost an un-neutered male Alsation about 2 months ago. She put a post on here. Could it possibly be the same one?

Tango 1, "... Do you ever come into contact with this individual? ....." Yes, we know the guy and It's probably better I don't. The mentality of arbitrarily laying down lethal poison anywhere that can kill anything indiscriminately is unforgivable. Now we begin to understand what has probably happened to two young cats we had over the last year and a half also.

For those that live in Karsiyaka, ......on the Vaha Spa side of the main road. The guy responsible for poisoning the two dogs mentioned in this thread is Ayhan Karadag. Around 30-35 y.o. and lives locally up in the village. If anyone needs any further info they can send me a request by email.
