Hi a friend is having problems signing into 44 this morning I was thinking maybe it was because they were using my laptop ? But then I thought it cant be that as it so often happens on here some member have loads of log in names all at the same time..even arguing with each other and being the same one on the one thread



An email has been sent lets hope this helps.

Know that for a fact do you Spider? from experience? or are you just making your usual totally unfounded assumptions? As far as I'm aware, the ip address of a poster can be checked so forum admin would soon know if a member had 'loads of log in names'



Anyhows if 'an email has been sent' that's bound to solve the problem so why bother posting at all? ;-)

No problems this end with logging in, just wanting to know really, how can some one log in at the same time with loads of different names and passwords at the same time?



Just a question really as not a computer boffin, is it possible to log in and block the site? thought it was one name one password... perhaps a computer literate person can answer? .....

I'm sure it can be done and sure a few people do it - but, maybe I'm being naive here, I'm also sure the vast majority of posters on here are single identities. With the majority of members being retired ex pats I don't think we have that many expert hackers around!



People can have two identities...but it must be very difficult to completely change the style of writing and convince us that they are two different people - personalities inevitably show through!

Maggie, with all due respect: you are wrong here. Look who (column left) replies to your post - it took me less than a minute to join C44. ANY IP address can be hidden (via software). It is one of the many glitches in the C44 software. And the reason is that developing Cyprus44 has been stopped.

P.S. I'll log off now and promise not to use the nickname "DConspiracy" again. It was just to show you how easy it is to join - and at the same time raise the number of C44-members. For what that is worth - not much in my opinion.

P.P.S. It was one of the reasons to ask for an amnesty for "lifers" - I think ONE ID is better than the multy-ID mess we're in now.

Ok so I concede, with vpn's the IP address is easily hidden but the point I was trying to make is that there's not that many members that would want another id - let alone know how to go about setting one up! and the few multi IDers that we have are fairly easy to recognise - within a few postings they show their true colours!



May I ask how your request for an amnesty was received by Admin? for what it's worth I agree with you (a rarity I know!) but who would own up to having more than one ID (apart from yourself lol)

Look in the left column who's replying... : -) I'm told by DutchCrusader (this is the Zero-style) that one of the "lifers" got an email that his application for an amnesty 'was received'. That's it.
