| all the supermarkets sell bags of sugar, here its a lot finer than in the UK and therefore is usually OK to be used as caster sugar for baking if in doubt just have a look at the bag its in clear plastic |

| If not put granulated in blender and hey presto you have caster sugar! |

| You will find at all supermarkets different grains of sugar some granulated and some very fine. I have never ever bought castor sugar in 23 years and my cakes always turn out light. If you shop around you will find the very fine sugar. It works a treat. |

| As msg 8 says, it is ok but do not overdo it or you end up with icing sugar. This too I have done but you need to sieve it well first. |
