Hi Les (great surname by the way) Am replying since I am a keen (but fairly useless) golfer moving over soon. Have e mailed the address given on loads of threads relating to golf info in TRNC but, at this point, have had no reply. Would be keen to hear from yourself and any other fellow golf victims about the relative merits of Guzelyurt/Korineum. I already know that the latter is more expensive but any further views of any type gratefully received. Cheers Pete Shaw

Hello Pete Just played the Korinium for the only time. Being fairly fit we hired a trolley. It's condition is ''manicured'' and cannot be faulted, holes are well thought out and some very difficult. Views spectacular. However it's built on a mountain and basically goes up then down - not accross. It was too hot! Prices were reduced [50 odd euros each] but it was far too strenuous - must have a buggy - the course is designed for it. The Academy 3 hole practice ground is good value if it's only to get a bit of exercise. [about 35TL for all day] The driving range next door is pretty good. The CMC course is my favourite, it's rugged to say the least, difficult tree lined 9 holes, concrete and mats for tee off boxes, hardly any grass for most of the year, browns for greens, and barely any facilities, but I love it! It's on the flat, quiet for most of the week, magic sea breezes and views. 40TL a round. The echoes of the shots are fantastic. It's a golf test for any 'hacker'

Many thanks to all for replying. Will probably give both a whirl as soon as I can after the dust settles paperwork/admin/bureaucracy wise after arrival. That`s always assuming of course that my clubs (currently in a container at sea somewhere) don`t arrive bent double like a family of trombones.... Cheers Pete Shaw
