If you are a grandparent and your grandchildren are in another country, how do you keep regular contact with them between visits? and what works best? If you have moved away has the relationship changed at all ? would appreciate any views. thanks JW

skype is a good way of keeping in touch as you can see them on the video camera and even better it is free of charge.......if they can see you regularly and you can see them, they will keep you in their mind's eye and you will be able to watch them grow and develop....

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback- Hawkeye thats perfect . It's the little things that make such a positive difference, being part of everyday so you can share the ups and downs and don't miss out on the big events i.e losing a tooth, getting a award star or providing any necessary support even though it's not a cuddle! However did people manage before skype and web cams?
