Nothing wrong with Efes beer (many of my Dutch friends/visitors know it!), but now we have the best of two worlds on Northern Cyprus: Efes and Dutch Heineken. Our tiny country TRNC may "politically not exist" and also suffers from a UN trade embargo, but some smart islander found a way to import real Dutch beer. Bravo! Well done! Serefe! Gezondheid!

@ msg 2, Smity: I had seen a car with advertising for Heineken, but hadn't seen it in the shops yet (may be my fault) - my wife found it today at Starling in Alsancak. It is priced 2,8 TL (export quality).

Canned Heineken has been on the island for maybe 15 months now,but the Draft Heineken is much better and seems to be extra cold.

'Extra Cold' is a con, same product but goes through two refrigerating units so is dispensed a couple of degrees below the norm.

But it is colder than going through one cooler, same if you have a python system, then you have another under bar cooler to call it extra cold, but your right about extra cold, draft carling is on its way.

O

Draft or draught?! But it is colder using the twin refrigeration system but doesn't justify a surcharge on the 'extra cold'!
