Very friendly golden lab just turned up at our gate. He's got a tag in his ear but is wearing a collar. He jumps up. Looks well fed and must surely belong to someone. Seems quite young. Is he your dog???



We live in the Yenikent Caddesi area near Altynkaya. We're not keeping him with us but he's looking for his owner, I'm sure.

Dog is still at our gate. Is anyone interested in such a lovely girl. So friendly but obviously got nowhere to go. Vet cannot identify her. Thinks she's definitely a street dog. Lovely looking dog - golden labrador. Speyed.

Someone MUST know this dog as she has been well looked after and doesn't have bones showing through. She is clean of fleas and ticks, too. We have taken her in as she simply refuses to leave our gate. She answers to English commands. Does anyone know if someone has gone back to the UK and left her? I wonder if she has been abandoned and picked up by KAR and put back on the streets having been speyed. She is such a lovey girlie and we can't ignore her beautiful eyes; we have to give her food and water. Our prob is that we already have two rescues and we live in such a built up area. Anyone who loves dogs out here can end up with more than they ever bargained for!! If she is YOUR DOG, please contact 0533 843 9207. Thanks. If there is a tag in the dogs ear you can ring KAR give them the number and they can look up details, they may have information on someone looking after this dog. I did this last year when a dog turned up on our doorstep complete with collar and lead but unfortunately they had no contact details only that she had been looked after by workmen in the Girne area.

We have had to return this dog to the Catalkoy area on the advice of KAR. They did not know the owner. They only know that she came from the Catalkoy area and was placed back there in February. If you see her around the horse stables area, please give her water. If you can rehome her then she will reward you with a lot of love. We could not take another dog and we feel really sad about it. We already have our own rescue dogs and we can only manage what we have due to age. Doesn't make us feel any better!! Feel a bit like Hitler!!

there was a golden lab called darcey who lived in ozankoy and was always going missing...her owners posted on here for a long time about her and eventually they returned to the uk and Darcey was never found. She was quite overweight I think, but I guess that could have changed if she is now living on the street. Perhaps someone on here might have known her and will be able to tell you if this is the same dog?

GOOD NEWS. KAR rang us today to say that the Golden Lab has been re-homed to someone in Catalkoy who has taken her in. Thank you to that person. She is a lovely girl and should be loved back. Thank you to KAR for taking the trouble to ring and let us know; it has made our day.
