| Hi please could anyone give advice as to what one should do when having been employed with work permit for some months you then leave the job and the work permit is cancelled, is it best to apply for residency until you are employed again, or can you just go over the south, would appreciate any advice. | Have you obtained a letter from your ex-employer that says that you no longer work for them - you will need one ? Check that they have paid your deductions over to the appropriate authorities, if they haven't, you will have trouble getting another work permit (without paying the deductions yourself) Get a temp' residency until you find alternative employment |

| Hi, can anybody give me directions to the Works Department in Lefkosia where you would go to get your passpart stamped when work permit is no longer valid, I know where the Immigration Department is and wondered is it nereby. Thanks in advance. lesley |
