we had a filipina lady come visit us last week and I had to pull strings at the airport to get her in. They gave her a thirty day visa at the door.

I suggest you find out the facts at the relevant govt department, because I was told by several sources that I would not be able to hire a filipina and I found out at the govt office that it was untrue.

Accountants and lawyers feed you with hearsay , gossip or they are just not aware of the new laws that keep getting passed and confusing everyone.

I have found civil servants to be very helpful about offering advice and helping you to apply for whatever you need. The only thing they cant help you about is the time it takes to get things done.

Actually according to Turkish law your partner is not entitled property or money accumulated before marriage- so if you get married in North Cyprus or Turkey and you end up getting a divorce you have nothing to worry about- unless you win the lottery.

Mike my friend has a GF but not a pinay,seems the authorities here do not like you importing pinays or ruskies if they are not your wife.

He tried to get his GF temp residency,they said she is to young (29) then they said get married to her,he said i dont want to marry,ive never been married,they said,ok have a baby,he said we dont want a baby,they are harder to dump than cats n dogs



Then they told him to employ her,he said no,its cheaper per month to go to adana and come back,why should he employ her he asked,they said thats a way round it,he said i dont want a way round,i want to do it legal,so i want temp residency,no they said,so the next time she went out to adana and came back to ercan,they arrested her and locked her up,said they would keep her until the monday,this was a saturday,sunday morning they shipped her off to adana.

She is back now with a work permit and all legal. Some 1 he knows has a pinay GF,she got temp residency,1.5 year altogether,they told them no more.
