We haven't had mains water for 6 days. I finally complained to the Belediyesi office who had only received one other complaint. It seems that they will not act on a problem unless they receive multiple complaints. They will now open the water supply tonight to my area (Stadyum Caddesi).

It pays to complain to the right people instead of just moaning about things !

We live just around the corner behind the school, and also have had nowt for 6 days. Hope it comes through tonight so we don't have to lick the condensation off the sunbed mattresses again.

We're on the 'sea side' and had to get a tanker in on Tuesday - I must be doing too much washing LOL.

It seems to follow the same pattern every year, dries up to about once a week until mid September. I suppose it's all about supply and demand, we're at the end of a run and find things improve when the school re-opens.

Mine is slowly filling, pressure is very low but I suppose it has many tanks to fill before it get's to me. In past years Karsiyaka village has had water every despite the sporadic supply to us on the outskirts. Is that still the case, does anyone know?

sorry to hear about your problem, our supply was also very weak and in the end the Belediye fitted a new supply pipe to our site.

Karşiyaka village does not get water every day - it is very sporadic - that is why a few years ago I fitted another tank. It is intolerable not being able to have a clean body or clean clothes in this unbearable heat.
