Whether or not the aircon is on manual or sleep mode it occasionally stops with the nice cool stuff and starts pumping out hot air. (No jokes Brins)

The unit was serviced and re-gassed a couple of years ago and I regularly clean the filters.

Any ideas?

It could well be short of gas again. If it needed re-gassing once before it will need it again.

If you want service, contact

msg 6,

Not always the capacitor. If it failed the compressor wouldn't usually run and the fault wouldn't be "occasional", it would be permanent.

Msg 1

Not being as wealthy as you, I just tried my a/c for the first time in 3 years and apart from changing the batteries, cold air blasted out! Mine is a Midea.

No Joke there!

Service charge is 50TL per unit, minimum 2 units. Re-gassing can cost up to another 50TL depending on size of a/c unit and amount of gas lost.

msg 8,

You are indeed unfortunate to have 5 units that need re-gassing. Re-gassing is usually only necessary on poorly installed units.
