Hi Bertie, Just a thought, have you checked the ball valve at the point of delivery. You get such a load of rubbish and small stones coming through the mains pipe that sometimes it can jam in the valve and reduce or even eliminate flow. It happened to me several times, so I bought a filter unit in UK and put it in the line before the ball valve. This has stopped the problem completely and it is easy once a year to extract the filter and clear it out.

The water main is turned on manually, by whoever is deemed waterman/woman at the time. The frequency always diminishes at this time of year. I have spent 400tl on extra water from a lorry delivery in the past five weeks. Last year was better due to the deluge we had the previous winter, but this year seems to have reverted to previous form. Every year more people settle permanently in Karsiyaka, so the infrastructure will struggle to cope until the water pipeline arrives from Turkey

Not the ball valve,, just not coming through reaches half way up the 'street' so just not enough pressure in pipe, will keep putting pressure on Belideyere. Thanks to all.
