I have a bottle of Bols Genever bought at Schiphol.

Would like to swap it for a bottle of Gilbey's or Bombay Sapphire 47%.

@ msg 1, Clarissa2: (...) I have a bottle of Bols Genever bought at Schiphol. (...)

▶ How interesting! But since the latest spelling laws in Holland you should call it "Jenever" (The Bols company sticks to centuries old spelling rules, now "nostagia").

▶ OK. Well, is it Jonge (young), Belegen (zoek het zelf maar uit) of Oude (in een bruine, stenen fles) jenever? That's the question.

▶ P.S. Another thread of mine was completely deleted a couple of minutes ago. I'd better ask Nigel to become an uncensored C44 board...

▶ Yes, screenshot of this post made.

Re: Msg 3,

It is actually Bols Corenwyn Jenever.

Blast!

Because it is made of clay, I've just noticed it's half empty!

I'm interviewing my dog, who is looking suspiciously pleased with himself...

I have a 3/4 full bottle of Bombay Saphire 47% ( I am intervieiwing the wife who is looking suspiciously pleased with herself) and might be interested in a swap as I have never tried Bols Corenwyn Jenever before.

An old or young gin, it's all the same with the lights off irrespective of the proof except when the Dr tells you otherwise!

Re: Msg 5,

At this rate I'm afraid it will be nothing left to swap.

My dog was vindicated, he managed to convince me in his strong dislike of the spirit ( he likes beer though! )

So I recon I'll have to buy you a bottle of Corenwyn without a swap next time I'm at Schiphol.
