Why do we have to put up with insults,rudeness,lies,inaccuracies from just a few bigots?



I am happy to see squabbles amongst washerman,mmmmm,o.m,erolz...I just do not read.



But when you post a genuine request for advice,guidance and help,it is hijacked within a few posts.



Anyone got any sensible suggestions to prevent this happening,and get rid of the few idiots??



They are ruining,and will continue to ruin this once fine forum

Too often posts have been hijacked, and have been closed down for being off topic, sometimes without an answer to the original question or allowing others to join in the real debate.



We know that moderators can edit out offensive posts, so why not do so in this case, rather than closing the thread?



It would be easy to have a 3 (or whatever is decided) edited posts and you are out for a set period of time. Further edits could accrue a lengthier ban and ultimately a life time ban for consistent offenders.

Often, of course, the moderating is not consistent. Some people can get away with anything.

IF you *did* read the threads you'd realise that ErolZ ( in particular) isn't 'squabbling' - he was being reasoned and factual...



I guess that means that 'Washerman' and the various Zero's 'tactic' of making a lot of 'noise' to deflect from the truth .. is 'working'.. !!

To put my tuppence worth in, I am a member of two other forums http://www.glencoecyprus.com and northcyprusBB neither have any problem, they just warn once and then delete or ban if the person continues, they soon get the message and they are never missed, the problem on here is in my opinion people are not rebuked, the owner of the forum is not bothered as long as he gets the revenue and people can rejoin the board at any time, the moderation is also crass.

Lets face it the only person that will be truly upset with being banned or scrubbed off the board is the person themself, their ego will be dented.
