Roger Stains' funeral arrangements

Roger's funeral will take place at Green Hills cemetery, Alsancak at 10:30 on Tuesday 19th July. Please no flowers, but contributions to 'Help those with cancer' would be gratefully received by the charity. No black ties or mourning attire please - Roger would not approve! Light casual summer wear will be fine. If anybody would like to recount any memories of Roger it will be welcome during the short non-religious service.



To get to the cemetery from Girne, take the new bypass until 80 yards before the GAU roundabout. take a left and follow the signs. If coming from Lapta etc on the bypass , go PAST the GAU turning and at the next set of lights do a 'U' turn and then after a few yards turn left left at the cemetery signpost.



After the brief humanist style funeral we'll de-camp to Freddies bar which is on the main coast road about 200 yards West of the newer Alsancak 'Starling' on the Alsancak/Lapta border (Next to the Living Magazine office)

For anybody checking out the access road today, The Green Hills cemetery sign will not be erected until the morning, but the turning is on the left, just short of the GAU roundabout if coming from Girne.

Definitely check with Enid. as I understand it we will be buying our own, so presumkably will need to choose from the menu, but PLEASE check with Enid or Stuart. I think it is mainly a place to go together after the ceremony where we can chat and give enid bug hugs!
