"It’s through the deaths of those many thousands who gave their lives that you have been given the opportunity for the democratic right to protest, but you showed ultimate disrespect to those who fell defending their country"

Whilst agreeing with the sentiment, I do not think that the heading is particulary appropriate for a public forum, which should cause the thread to be closed promptly. This may also have further consequences to the originator

flamefabs,

You are being totally ridiculous.

there were more than 1 million British soldiers killed in WW1 along with nearly 400,000 in WW11,

add to that the British soldiers killed in action elsewhere, do you think that your family are the only ones to suffer through war.

Every Brit on this forum has had relatives die fighting for our freedom, you are not alone.

I believe everyone will share your sentiments, perhaps if you had used a different word such as scum on the title everyone would have been in complete agreement.

However I believe you are being controversial in an attempt to see how far you can push the limits and that is the reason for the heading.

@ msg 11, DoctorW: (...) DoctorW was an alias of DC (...)

▶ I confirm that it is not. Although I tend to appreciate your postings and often agree with most of the content.

Although, DoctorW, which nickname/profile can one believe on this board, eh?!

@ msg 10, Hattikins: (...) And should it not have been whipped ? (...)

▶ Or even "And should it not have been whipped?"? (There should not be a space between whipped and the question mark - not pedantic, just a little joke, don't get angry..! )

Yes, which nickname profile can we believe on this board?

I particulary liked Cyprus Now with an occupation of PEST CONTROL, nice one Dan!!

My grammar unfortunately has never been my strong point, with that and my dodgy keyboard you will often see little errors creep in. My wife corrects me in everything I do, so I always enjoy a little constructive critisism.

And finally a big thank you for the moderator who has edited the title of this thread.

▶ You are so new on this board that you don't know I've read this more than a dozen times before.

Without the Americans in the end probably all of us would have been speaking German. How's your German at the moment? Most widely spoken language in the EU.

By the way: the Netherlands were liberated by Canadians, while Mr. Montgomery and his troops spearheaded for Northern Germany.

And you are ill informed about WW-1. The Netherlands had a neutral status.

DC you are partially correct in saying,

"Most widely spoken language in the EU. "

But only as "mother tongue"

Percentage of EU population speaking a language,

English 51%

German 32%

He should be paraded through Wootton-Bassett tied to the back of a hearse then taken to Aldershot and tied to a lamp post outside the Roundabout club, then Horse whipped.
