Yesterday, I installed 2 x OSN TV systems and spent some time talking at length with one of the customers. They informed that they had purchased and used, allbeit for a short period, a 2 way satellite internet system as indeed, did many other of these particular people's clients. The system was very expensive and very slow. The systems were purchased from/set up by two very well-known board members. Suddenly, the UK company, who the particular board members were using, went bust ! Did their customers receive a refund ? You guessed it - No ! They got the Cyprus shrug. Lousy (typical) customer service or, down-right deceitful ? Admittedly, it was some time ago, but sadly, this reflects the way that some people treat their clients. Certain board members comments need to be tested against their history and customer service track record. Do the particular board members want to offer an explanation or, excuse or, explain why this happened ?

It's a satellite system that can be fitted 2 ways, as follows :- 1. The right way - customer gets value for money, fast internet service and good customer backup (customer get's what they paid for) 2. The wrong way - customer pays out a small fortune, gets very slow internet and lousy service. Eventually, the supplier that the fitters are relying on in the UK goes bust (customer loses out completely)

) Washerman - re msg 1 I see you are worried by the imminent arrival of 'illegal' alternatives to the ultra reliable Wiresless internet and ADSL services you have, now .. As you know VERY well.. the new sat internet services are Ka-Band - a bit like digital freeview TV - in that more is crammed onto one satellite - making it FAR cheaper. The old Ku Band sat internet services were indeed expensive and not as fast - but were reliable - I mean you DO know that the UK's National Lottery Terminal Network is powered by the 'old' Satellite technology?! As the new service that covers Cyprus is owned by Eutelsat..if you do a Google search for Eutelsat and Profit... you'll see how this is another Washerman fantasy.. Don't you HAVE shares in Eutelsat ? ;) Services starting @ 24.99GBP / month 6 Meg down and 0.6Mps up - guaranteed. The downside? This is not a service suitable for downloading video content - GREAT for email, SKYPE, voice over IP, photosharing, facebooking and

most importantly, CY44ing Another downside is that - before the service hits the internet in Italy - you get an Italian IP But if you are FED up with unreliable connectivity and don't need to go mad on youtubing or downloading tv - this is THE alternative for internet connectivity. Naturally, you should always buy such a system by Credit card and pay the monthly subs by the same method. Washerman knows that I'm associated with such an enterprise and I've suggested he tries to get a dealership.. This service only started in June 2011 ( Jan 2011 in the US) and the only cust service problem most dealers have is that they can't answer the sales lines quick enough...!

re msg 7 Dear Pugwash >>I imagine the GC Press officer will be along quite soon<< I didn't realise you suffered from the original poster's 'affliction'... repeating a fib - when it has been patiently explained that you aren't correct ( http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/69118.asp msg 13) - simply means you shouldn't be taken seriously..

Washerman I know nothing about this at all, but given the nature of the claims you have posted that is hardly suprising. Your claim seems to be unnamed members of this forum sold an unamed service to an unamed customer on an undetailed date and as a result of an unnamed UK company going bust these unamed customers and many other unamed customers of unamed service lost out. That would seem to be your claim ?

erolz.........other than your own 2 way satellite system which you have admitted to having - have you ever installed/configured a 2 way satellite system for anyone else involved in a commercial enterprise ?
