msg. 2 as I suggested earlier, re-unification means different things to different people to greek cypriot claimants and their silent majority of patriotic countrymen, it means a return to former homes, backed-up by a free, democratic and inclusive voting system, loosely based on a 1960's-style legal framework, but with extensive provision for regional devolution to your average cypriot turk I'd guess it is more to do with freedom of movement, opportunity and employment throughout but with an absolute guarantee of safety, remembering the hellish days of sectarian conflict 1963-1974 to the average ex-pat, assuming such an entity really exists, it probably refers to a europeanised updated north cyprus that I would find efficient, hollow and charmless ...just like the indebted r.o.c. but to the embattled french and german eu leadership, it means losing their current pretext not to admit a powerful muslim nation of 80 millions to the eu

Just another one, on the website mentioned, Note what the Archbishop says about getting power from Turkey, I think that reinforces everything that the west has ben conveniently ignoring about GCs they are brainwashed, at School and now in Public by the Church - so will they now wake up and realise that the GCs are a bigger problem to any reunification talks than the TCs.

gusanova, a west that mostly don't want turkey in the eu also probably doesn't give a monkeys about what the greek cypriots are up to either apart from its relevance as a holiday destination cyprus gets very little coverage in british papers ...compared for example as to whether david cameron saw rebekha brooks in her jim jams
