guys don't want to be rude, but your problem is your singer, he's really letting the side down.

great lead guitarist and great vibe generally, but well below average singer.

arrry.................we'll be doing gigs weekly for charity through the holiday season and we will play wherever we are invited to play - we don't charge a fee, it is done purely for charity.

We will play at bars or, restaurants as long as they make a 250TL donation on the night to start off the bucket donations to Tulips for Daniel's solo.

AND, we will have some more great raffle prizes like the 42" Flat Screen TV and ADMC Premier League satellite system (worth 2,500TL) that was raffled and won by a lucky Pearl fan from Alagadi at one of our recent gigs.

Any bars who are interested should telephone 0533 869 4372 (We haven't yet played Alsancak or, Karsiyaka way)

Cheers Barry..............I know that you have seen friends succumb to this horrible disease as indeed , have most people.

There are several Expats who are suffering at the moment in the TRNC and Tulips are helping them out.

It really is a GREAT cause and this is a chance for everyone to help out !

Tulips have just funded and equipped a Hospice in Lefkosa and have big plans for the future - they need to raise all the funds that they can !

Change of plan for tonight's Charity Gig !

There are 3 Tulip's events arranged over this weekend and I have received a couple of emails and comments from clients, who say that, 3 is too many in one weekend - they say that it looks as though Tulips are monopolising local fund-raising events.

I have thought about this and there is some merit in what the people have said.

I would be the last person to do anything that may damage the reputation of Tulips because it is such a good cause, especially when it is only due to a scheduling mix up and is not Tulips fault.

So, tonight, Pearl will be performing to help to raise money for another 'very' worthy cause instead - The Kemal Saracoglu Foundation.

This is a follow-on to the warm-up set that we did for the TRNC's No.1 Neil Diamond tribute act - at the Esentepe Villa Hotel a couple of week's ago.

Dan will be doing his solo guitar riff again and we will be trying a few new numbers.

Why not come along ! Music starts 8-30pm (approx)

We really enjoyed your music when we were invited to Essentepe Villa Hotel to their fundraiser for

The Kemal Saracoglu Foundation which is for Children with Leukaemia and Fight against Cancer which raised a lot of money.

We are so grateful to you Pearl to have you on board. Thanking you all in advance for your much needed help for funds.

Many Thanks

Maureen

Hi Hobnob,...............thanks for your interest, we were delighted with the night's result because we raised an amount equal to everyone who attended donating 10TL each (!) and that is the best result that we have had AND we didn't do a raffle !

The donations were just given as thanks for a great night's entertainment and in appeciation of the fantastic work that the Kemal Saracoglu Foundation which is for Children with Leukaemia and Fight against Cancer.

Thanks Hobnob...........

Yes, we only changed the plan on the day and considering that we didn't do any of the 'normal' fund raising activities (raffle etc), we were delighted with the result which we put down to Maureen going round every table and introducing the charity and telling everyone about the good work that they do.

Maureen really is an inspiration !

It was without doubt the best effort and result that we have had and as a consequence of Maureen's efforts and enthusiam, we have decided to help her to raise more money for the Kemal Saracoglu Foundation.

We look forward to working with Maureen and the rest of her team at future events and hope that we can repeat the level of success that she achieved at such short notice !

Watch this space and look out for the new website and future announcements.

Well done Maureen !

Very Well done indeed..

with reference to Dan,would it not be easier for his Guitar solo,if he used a body pack radio link (thingy) to his amp, trailing a 50ft cable around the place seems a little awkward....but again well done

Hi martinD41....................of course, you are absolutley right and Dan has one, but the radio is faulty. We have looked at getting another, but after buying the stage and lighting - we are skint.

As you know, we perform voluntarily without pay and so funds are scarce at the moment.

It would be a lot more convenient for Dan, but for the mo' he will just have to manage.

Thanks for coming last night ! We will see you later at Snakes do.

I am sorry l have not had time to thank you all before now with the two markets that Pete and l do on Saturdays

and Sundays we were worn out when we came home yesturday.

lt was very short notice and l wish l could have done more but it was a truly great evening. The boys were fantastic. Even though we were not a very big gathering it was very friendly and l am sure everyone enjoyed themselves, they were also very generous.

l and The Kemal Saracoglu Foundation appreciate a great deal the 300tl we raised. l also hope you will continue to Support 'Pearl' (the boys) with their aim to raise money for the above charity foundation helping children with Leukaemia and fight against Cancer.

Thank you All once again,

Maureen
