| Hi helpful forum folk. We are over next week and need to buy some furniture - beds, sofas, garden stuff and so on. Do stores generally accept credit cards? Also, any info on recently spotted bargains greatfully received. |

| Cards are no problem but watch the charges this end, I find waving lira around normally gets a better price. |

| Thanks for the replies. As it seems as though there are several prices (depending on whether you are English of Cypriot) does this mean that there is room for negotiation on price? My husband enjoys haggling - I hate it. However, we have a whole house to furnish so .......... |

| Do haggle but do it in the way that let's them give you the discount...
You say how much? They say x YTL... You say, can I get any discount? If they say no, say can you ask the manager?
If he says no and you are not really 100% sure that it's exactly what you want at the right price already... walk. They might run after you and say Ok, Ok.... or not...
But Pamela, do shop around and do try out the "soft" furnishings because some makers produce very hard sofas etc.. |
