Mobile phone problems with Turkcell 3 G network ?

Since they launched the Turkcell 3 G network my trusty old 3 G Sony Ericsson K608i won't work properly wherever there is a 3G signal.



It locks onto the 3 G signal but won't work or switch back to the old GSM network even if you manually switch it to the old GSM network is automatically switches back soon after and there appears to be no phone options to prevent this happening.



In areas with only GSM it works fine.



Has anyone experience something similar and if so are there any known solutions without having to get a new phone.
