you will have direct flight soon if Turkey declares TRNC as the 82nd state then you can not stop direct flight as TRNC airspace will become part of Turkey, at the moment it is a free airspace until you hit the turkish coastline.Also there are talks which the Greek Cypriot Goverment has agreed on conditions that the old Nicosia will be restored back to being the main airport on the island and in return Turkish Goverment will give some access to Flight operated by Cyprus airways and other Cyprus carriers over Turkey to reduce travelling time.How true not sure was on Greek Cypriot PLK2 channel last night.

Paul Msg 11 - None taken it's just that people tend to forget all those tour operators who have been supporting the island with time, effort and money for quite a few years. Also the staff in Bedford Square who are promoting the TRNC despite all odds. See the current adverts in Manchester, London, Birmingham the Metro etc.

It looks like rather than sit back and wait for the government to make a difference. they are doing it for themselves, and for North Cyprus.



On that link you sent 'new lad' i also noticed they were awarded by sunday times as 77th fastest growing company in England. To me there is clearly something different from them and other tour operators.

Hulyamehmet Msg 14 - see my note in Msg 12 re "Bedford Square" that is the North Cyprus government doing something.

Possibly part of the difference between Direct and the other tour operators is that many of them may not have the same funds to spend and maybe have been a little longer in the market so a little more careful about their spend? If it works it may well help the rest of us too.
