Has anybody on here flown Manchester to Paphos with Easyjet?

If so can you give me your thoughts on the trip. Seats, legroom boarding etc etc.

Many Thanks

It is like any other airline, the Gatwick to Larnaca plane is new and the seating has sufficient leg room for the journey. Booking is easy on line, the cabin crews are among the best I have ever travelled with and each trip I have made has always arrived early. There is one downside, as I see it. That is the boarding arrangements, it's a bit like a cattle stampede. This can be easily overcome by booking "Special Boarding" at a nominal cost of about £10 per seat per trip and you will be among the first to board, without the hassle. I have used then several times and will do so again in the future. Hope that helps.

We have just started using Easy jet Gatwick to Larnaca,no probs, Yes it is a bit of a cattle market boarding the plane, but once" boarding please" sign appears on info. board, if you go straight to the gate and queue, its not too bad. Otherwise you can pay an extra £10 per seat, to board a couple of minutes earlier.Mrs Laptarunner.

Easy Jet from Larnaca: Good price. Good Service, plenty of seat room.

Only problem is the crummy airport (LCA)! No aircon due to the power probs in ROC.

You are better off with Pegasus from Ercan.

Try Pegasus to Sabiha Gokcen, then Easyjet to London, can be a lot cheaper than you think.

Always found the crew on the Gatwick to Larnaca flights really friendly and helpful. I would say that we usually arrive in Larnaca on time but have had some delays on the return flight, although in June we arrived back 20 mins early. If you book early you can get some good prices, but be aware they are really hot at Gatwick on the oneHand baggage rule, but laxer at Larnaca.

its ok, but definately take up the offer of Speedy boarding, otherwise its like a free for all as no seats are allocated at check in despite the time that you arrive

do you plan car hire from paphos or taxi etc ?

just using comparison as manchester to larnaca with monarch etc

think taxi and transfer time considerably dearer ( and longer) ,would welcome your thoughts and plan Mountain Edge .

I know ive been tempted into pahos a couple of times as flights can be cheaper etc

flew into paphos once. it would take you two and a half hours to get to the north and the taxi fare would probably be in the region of £100.00. wouldn't do that route again. in our opinion, easyjet into larnaca would be the better option. hope this helps.

I use 'speedy boarding' as my leg joints are arthritic, and it saves queueing for ages in misery.

However in my case of Munich to Stansted, it is speedy checkin, but speedy boarding it is not!

At Munich they let you through onto a bus, then the bus waits while all the other pax get aboard and swamp you.

At Stansted, they let you down the stairs, but a guy there will not let you through for ages, and all the other pax catch up with you.

At Larnaca the speedy boarding passengers and those with children are the only ones who get on the first bus. On my last flight, disabled passengers were taken out to the plane first and settled before the speedy boarders were let on. I must say that Larnaca seems to have it pretty well sorted out.

Kavenkoy - We like to fly in to Paphos because the wife's sister and brother-in-law live just outside so we visit them before travelling north.

I was looking at Easyjet bacause their prices from Manchester are so much better than anything we can get from Newcastle. Normally we would only use Manchester as a last resort but my son is now living down in Yorkshire so we can visit him before travelling on to the airport. Nothing against Manchester, by the way, its just a bit of a hike for us.

Forgot to ask, do they do food on the plane or is it just sandwiches?

We have flown Easy jet Paphos to Bristol as the journey the other end is so short for me and dont have to worry about weather conditions (in the winter) in the UK too much. Easyjet is what it says on the label - no frills but the planes are newish and quite comfy for short haul. Never paid for speedy boarding and always managed to get a seat together without any problem. They serve good sandwiches and offer a hot meal but never had it

Just to let you know that Easyjet have put their Gatwick to Larnaca flightson sale for next May and June. Got 2 return flights including 1 bag, speedy boarding and credit card charges for £245 in total. (And before anyone says anything Gatwick flights suit us better!)
