jJust which 60's groups at the Ampitheatre 6th August?

Article in CT this weekend states that 2 British 60's groups will be performing, The Animals and Mike Pender and the Searchers. But I wonder just which group called the Animals it will be?

The 2 groups performing under the Searchers name are always clearly defined as The Searchers (with original members Frank Allen & John McNally) or Mike Pender (orig member) and The Searchers so you know just who you're going to see.

However how many people know that there are 2 groups playing as the Animals - normally billed as Eric Burdon & The Animals or The Animals and Friends (the latter formed by other later ex Animal members)

As Eric Burdon's group (who only play big gigs) are performing at a big festival in Norway on Friday 5th seems hardly likely that is who will be here.

Still for 25tl it will be good to hear the 60's music played by both groups - I know Mike Pender's Searchers are very good.

Can't wait to be there!!

Prefer the UB40 gig on the 19th at the Amphitheatre ..70TL I believe .....

On Saturday 24th September, there are two tribute acts at Girne Amphitheatre. The Bohemians play the music of Queen, and The Secret Police performing Police covers. They will be supported by Funky Monkey.

Last time I saw 'Animals and Friends' there was only original Animal was drummer John Steel ...BUT (and it's a big but) the legendary Steve Cropper (of Booker T and the MGs) was guesting with them ..he is in the UK with them later in August so the TRNC just MIGHT get lucky with a genuine musical great!
