Could anyone tell me if it is illegal to have a standpipe connected to the mains on your own property. Perhaps this is a question for Berkeh2001

Thanks Maggymay

Using TRNC logic (?) it wouldn't be illegal to HAVE a standpipe, just illegal to USE it, i.e. using it to water your garden or fill your pool..

Would not be a lot of point either in having a stand pipe connected to the mains water supply as the water is not a continuous supply.

I have an outside tap that is mains connected, but as message 3 says - its more ornamental than useful as the mains is only on in the very early hours of the morning and off again by 6 - 630am.
