| A group of morris dancers say they were given marching orders from a pub – after being told the bells on their shoes broke the bar’s music ban. The 15 members of the Slubbing Billys troupe, who hoped to enjoy a quiet drink after entertaining market goers with their folk routine, had assured staff that they weren’t there to perform their merry jig. However, they claim a barwoman yelled ‘No bells’ and promptly escorted them from the Swan and Three Cygnets pub in Durham. | Wow. That's awful. A drama, no, a tragedy. What's the UK coming to? "Hip hop" World Champion and aggression to genuine "Morris Dancers"! We've been talking about it all day long in Northern Cyprus. |

| Thank God there is no Morris Dancing Gestapo in TRNC - Lapta would be in uproar and people as far away as Dipkarpas would be busy organizing protests against the lack of human rights in the area. Good bit of "Northern Cyprus" news that will no doubt be reported in Cyprus Today in three or four weeks time. |

| Well, if it's in the Mail (and it yearns for 'the good old days) it must be true. when exactly were the 'good old days', incidentally?) |
