| What should the length of the outlet in the bottom of a balance tank be from the base. Thanks. |

| No hard and fast rule but it should protrude above the balance tank floor to enable jetsam and silt to sink to the bottom and not get drawn into the system. |

| Thanks TRNCVaughan, mine is about 14", can i cut it down a bit to enable me to get more water out of my balance tank and into the pool. Thanks. |

| If you have the new type non-return valve on your balance tank line, you can cut it down to the floor. http://www.waterco.eu/documents/shop/74_73.pdf These valves are available in TRNC at a cost of 40 pounds, supply only, fitting is not included but can be arranged. |
