Turtles released to the sea

There will be an excavation of a turtle nest tonight, Tuesday, and the baby turtles will be released to the sea when it is dark.







Meet at Guzelyali Restaurant at 7.00pm Karsiyaka beach. Everyone is welcome.







Please remember that no flash cameras are allowed, when turtles are walking towards the sea.

last JUly when we were there we saw a turtle nesting at about 130am I think with Robin. Are there likely to be hatchings next week?

There are hatchings at both Alagadi and Karsiyaka at the moment. Which do you want? One has to phone on the day to ascertain if there is to be a hatching that night, and then you would be welcome to go. there is no way of telling in advance. If you don't have phone numbers, Rocky, or if lemonlady does not answer you, I can give you some. A great experience watching tghat.

thanks Marion Algadi is closer for us so will pop down in the next few days. To watch the egg laying last year we were the only ones that stayed till 130am so it was a private guided showing. We sent some photos to Robin.
