Hello People,

We are getting ready for launching phase 2, so for north of the mountain area, this means, more basestations are needed for better coverage and increased capacity.

We are currently looking for locations to use as multimax basestations, see pic above for currently desired locations (details about esentepe area will be posted later). If you have a place (minimum requirement is electricity) in there locations and you would like to discuss to rent us a 1m x 1m area on your rooftop to use as a basestation, contact me at kbasat@multimaxcyprus.com or call 0392 444 6629 ext 301.

We offer 4Mbps free internet (104TL value) for every basestation location.

We can use your water tank (if any) or may need to install a small pole (usually 1.5m + 4 meter single pole extending up) for our links and.

Each basestation will consist of a few links (usually 50cm dishes) and 1-2 small antennas for clients to connect. The whole setup uses little electricity and is very low power

If you have any questions, please contact us.

In order to confirm a location is suitable and eligible for this deal, we need to conduct a site survey and after this, if everything is alrite, we will sign a long term contract with all the agreed terms.

Also, if you think you have a suitable location for a basestation outside of the desired areas, dont hesitate to contact us and we will gladly consider it.

Coordinates (GPS or Google Earth) in your first message would be very helpful for preliminary checks.

@negativenick if you can tell us what KL stands for and where you managed to find a 35th floor of anything on this island, we will gladly consider.

The Internet we provide is quite real, but it does not come with cloeslaw or coke.

Cheers.

Whoever is concerned should definitely check if the equipment is hazardous to health or has any radiation issues attached to it.

I will not say there is nothing to fear nothing will happen, the facts are as follows;

Our basestations use very little power and generate very low radiation. This is a proven fact that the electricity consumption by our equipment is less than 1TL/day.

Our system is a Line-of-Sight system, meaning base-station and the client premises needs to see one another in order to establish a connection, this is because our signals are not powerful enough to penetrate obstacles such as trees and walls (unline gsm technology).

If you are worried about electromagnetic radiation, you should stop using a mobile phone right now. A mobile phone at the point-blank range would produce approx same amount of radiation in 1 hour to your brain than our basestations, 20-30 meters away, in one month.

There is always radiation, its the amount of radiation produced vs your distance to the source that makes all the difference whether its harmful or not, see mobile phone example above.

In the UK and in South Cyprus these stations offer an annual rent of between £1K and £3.

HI Geoff

re msg 17

in the UK the use of such networks is mainly confined to community projects and those rental prices you refer to are commercial rates ( some of which are too low- depending on the location ) for use for cellular sites / microwave links.

It is surely clear that such prices would render wireless networks in 'TRNC' non-viable .. the bis model is reduced rates / free use of the service.
