Image my surprise when I got back this evening to find a journo from 'Cyprus Today' tells me that our 'love story' may be published ! "Paul Alldred (Washerman) has sent me information on what he claims is harassment by you towards him on Cyprus44. He claims this harassment is now affecting his business. I am going to write up his story but I do not know if it will be published. That decision is taken by the Editor. However, if you would like to comment on this alleged harassment, I would be happy to include your version of events. Again, I stress, this story may not be published but in the event it is, I wanted to give you an opportunity to put your point of view." I wonder if they will come to Glos'shire to interview me and if it will make the front page..

Mark. If there is going to be an article in the Newspaper then I think your 'spat' should not be a free for all on here. I am going to close this thread if 'it kicks off'.

Dear Paul, Its a well known fact that what they publish is not always factual. look at Jennifer Lopez story. They copy and paste a lot. The star was full of expats having a good time in various bars, same ones all the time. Now we need to think of a title. Martina Cole has a place here speak to her. Now give me a little time I will come up with a title paul dear xxxxx

Newspapers: When I was 17 I was friendly with a lass whose step dad was in clinck for spying - for the Soviets.. some irony there.. The Daily Mirror published a story that we were engaged, but I only found out when a mate read the article as he digested the fish and chips it had been keeping warm.. The guy she WAS engaged to was very understanding, though .... I wonder if rags are any more careful what they publish these days ?

How about, Cyber-bullying, "the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others" (...Thanks Wiki...) Quite a big story if you ask me. Although, I think I maybe being a bit biased tho, as it is my family who is suffering the consequences of your childish 'games'. Hopefully this will all be resolved and end with a positive.... And for the record.... This is a response to mmmmmm's 'fake, one post accounts that washerman created' theory. Take care all, sleep well!

Dear Dan >>deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others<< I have deliberately, repeatedly, and honestly responded to inaccurate ( commercial and technically) 'information' posted to dupe members into paying over the odds for a grey market pirate product that has been claimed as having official blessing 'Harming others' is the result clients will face when promises made - that can't possibly be honoured - are broken.. Great to support a relative - but you need to to stick to facts - if your family is relying on income from being grey market pirates then I suggest that any difficulties are something to be expected.

| anything you say mmmmmm.... If you call the police and tell them about a bank robbery thats going to happen tomorrow night. Then go and rob the said bank that night, your definitely not going to be the one that comes of as being the hero. Just a complete and utter idiot. Why are you trying to spoil a good thing? We have very few complaints with the way we run our business, the products we sell and the service we give. FACT. We don't mind you saying that we are grey market pirates.... its your opinion, what can we do. We do mind you saying we have faked the good reports we got from our customers. | Dear Dan >>anything you say mmmmmm.... << That was as 'helpful to reasoned discussion as referring to my factual counters as being 'childish games' ! Your analogy re the bank robbery is meaningless.. as is your inability to be civil... I'm not sure why you feel it's OK to refer to be as being an 'idiot'... >>Why are you trying to spoil a good thing? We have very few complaints with the way we run our business, the products we sell and the service we give. FACT. << Because you WILL get complaints when the companies whose product you 'grey market pirate' pull your plug and leave the clients high and dry... >>We don't mind you saying that we are grey market pirates.... its your opinion<< Again, you demonstrate you don't know a thing about this industry - that is EXACTLY the term applied to operations such as you are involved in by the sat tv companies. They tend to get left alone - until they make claims for officialdom and overprice. cont |

There is a very simple solution the Washerman takes an advert in a local paper and provides evidence that his system is legitimate and sanctioned by the service provider. That will end the argument once and for all.

I have been following these threads with interest as I have given up on TV coverage here by motorizing a dish and using a dreambox and picking up free to air stuff. I was fed up with paying for channels that kept getting deleted but no refunds just shrugs of shoulders and told you have this now. I think I am right in saying don't cry when the TV goes off so I suppose if one pays monthly and if its over the top that is the punter's choice all ok but what happens IF you pay up front for a year or more and the plug is pulled and I think this is the point Mark is trying to get across. Just look at it if you pick up a big fridge freezer in the south and bring it through and you are stopped give it up with a smile, as you knew the rules. Unfortunately here one party is saying it won't happen we are the legal supplier and the other is saying it may and be prepared to lose what you have paid. As I am here, I think eyes open and go with the second sometimes admittedly I am pleasantly surprised

Well mmmm, perhaps your partner could enrol you in another play ground so you can find someone else to BULLY. Quite frankly I am sick to death of this childish behavour you have Exhibited on this board for god knows how long. Isn’t it about time you mods sorted out this stupidity by banning mmmm. He does not live in TRNC but tries his hardest to cause as much trouble as possible for hard working individuals. Quite frankly, I along with quite a few indivduals who I have spoken to recently re this are sick to the stomach with this appaling behavour. We all contributed to the fund for this Izzet when you wanted to keep this board going, isint it about time you listened to the folks who GAVE YOU MONEY...... | Msg 44, Couldnt agree more.. Be assured that steps are being taken to bring this matter to ahead. Cyprus 44 and the moderators have a legal obligation to prevent libellous comments being posted on this forum. One specific comment made by 6ms was extremely libellous and it could well lead to the end of his childish but damaging antics. Art |

Dan by his own addmission says he has many happy customers, so why not live and let live? We can't like all of the people all of the time, everyone to their own view. |

Magicart msg46 For the record one message of Washermans about me was libelous. The one where he says "erolz masquerading as HCLOman and doing a hatchet job on Zerochlor ?' This statement presented by washerman as fact is totaly untrue. And what have I personally done to warant such treatment by washerman ? Nor is it the only example of direct personal attack by him on me, though it is the clearest example of libel. So I do indeed hope things are brought to a head and all who engage in such behaviour are sanctioned.

Hi Blade, Sorry I have to disagree-this is a controlled systematic act which is designed to deliberatley damage a family run business and to discredit the owner.. There is also a wider issue which is of concern. For whatever reason Cyprus 44 appear to allow this attack on Pauls business to continue, offering no protection to Paul or his family.Any member of this forum could easily be the target of someone with malicious intent .The owner and moderators of this forum have a legal duty to protect its members-to-date they have decided not to excercise their legal duty. This should be of great concern to everyone not just Paul and his lovely family. CY44 should not under estimate the level of support that Paul and his family have or the mood of the people. This posting will probably get me banned but it wont deter me from giving Paul and his family my 100%support. Art

magicart, should I not have protection from the constants attacks on my integrity from Paul ? From the directly libelous claims, to the repeated suggestion that my posts offering my genunine personal opinions on anything from where to buy a TV to internet service are from an 'ulterior motive'. Washerman's attacks on me are controlled and systematic as far as I am concerned and designed deliberately to impune my personal integrity as a poster here. Again I have to ask what have I done to warrant such attacks ? The answer would seem to be to have dared to question Paul and in some cases supported MM in terms of factual accuracy. So should Paul's own behaviour be of great concern to everyone ? Perhaps you should not underestimate the number of people who judge Paul's own behaviour here by a consistent standard, applied equally to all, and find his own behaviour lacking.

Erolz. I have only just read you msg 53 and you illustrate my concerns beautifully. If what you are saying is correct then the moderators should have taken appropriate action at the time of the posting. All members should be safe guarded from any comments which would be deemed as malicious or indeed libellous. Cyprus44 could take two lines of actions. A life ban on anyone who is found to be malicious or libellous - Warn the poster of his conduct and then ban him/her from making any further reference to the subject. This in my view should have been done a long time ago with 6ms . Thanks Art I not condone any form of

| Will have a "field day" when Media Protection Services investigate TRNC .. A DARWEN landlady and her husband have been fined £6,000 for illegally screening a Blackburn Rovers game in their pub. Linda and Thomas Fox, of the Golden Cup, Blackburn Road, were both found guilty at Blackburn Magistrates Court of dishonestly receiving and broadcasting the Rovers versus Bolton Wanderers match on December 12. The court heard that Mrs Fox had used an Albanian-based satellite service to broadcast the match. Media Protection Services is a private agency which investigates television copyright breaches on behalf of the Premier League. A spokesperson for the company said: “We are disappointed that a minority of publicans still ignore the many warnings given by the courts and ourselves over a period of years. “But our investigations and prosecutions will continue for the majority who still respect the law and have suffered loss of trade by the activities of rogue neighbours.”

I do not often write on this forum because of the juvenile replies ! and I always thought the forum was supposed to be sociable however some authors of writing on here are purely and simply terrible and for example 6M(Mark) seems to be making a vendetta against Washerman(Paul) ? I do not know Marks problem and doubt if he has ever met Paul but why the verbattum against him? Paul and his family have a family business and it is only his family and the amount of charity work he and the group Pearl playing at nights and week ends for charity is commendable but Mark pick holes in anything they do and it seems personal to me and many other readers. Mark you and the likes spoil this forum and considerin you are living in the UK and do not have daily knowledge what happens here may I sugggest you start your own Gloucester Forum and focus your energies there. There is a masiive demand for blood over here - pop over and donate some! Be polite or shut up

Magicart, I hear what your saying but i think the fault lies here with the 44 mods and them not acting to stop this kind of behaviour. If i had a TL for everytime someone said something bad about me i would be very rich indeed. The trouble is here is working out the fact from fiction which many people find hard to do for what ever reason. For instance today i had a call from a customer, are you still open, here? Why , What? He had been told that we had sold up and were leaving the island in three weeks, well that was news to me,lol. Hot gossip but totally untrue! People just need to chill out a little and stop taking things they read here so seriously. Others need to only say something if they can prove it and back it up as fact. Currently i think 44 is in a bad way and normality is urgently need to resume.

Blade. A very sensible thread which ideally everyone should adhere to. Excellent point concerning the mods-CY44 is so popular they may not have time to properly police the forum. They must however be aware of certain members who are likely to be contentiuos so perhaps they should focus on these members.EG the 6ms v Washerman battle has been running for aprox 18months so the mods know that anything to do with SAT/TV will kick off and there are many other private battles.

This thread is now closed. the thread has served its purpose unless the purpose is to continue uninformed conjecture. Harold
