My partner is applying for his temporary residency for the first time, am I correct in thinking he needs ans ins and outs, if so where does he get this? Also reading on the BRS forum it states that a medical is required every year from the 26th August, is this correct? Many thanks

When we came here in 2004 first residency you had to have a chest x-ray, blood tests and provide a stool sample. I have heard that they have reverted back to this! May be a good idea to contact Prue Lundy at the BRS as she will have the up to date info. Chris p.s. You will get ins and outs at the police station.

I have just looked and it says August 2010. I applied in Feb this year and no medical was required, only blood test for the under 60's.

You don't need to get ins and outs but they will probably ask him about his travels outside of TRNC. When I went 4 weeks ago the policeman thumbed through my passport and asked me about the last couple of trips away, mostly about where I had been. I hardly ever go South but did have my last paper visa with me but he did not see it and did not ask.
