Should someone who murders!

Should some one who rapes and causes a life time of devastation to that person they raped?

Should a alcoholic who is addicted to alcohol be executed when he gets into a car and kills some ones child and causes so much devastation to the family of the dead person?

Lets just kill every one who does something wrong

I think that drugs and drug dealers cause so much devistation to a society, i don't agree with execution but i do think they need longer sentences. Like life and actually mean life.

No definately not, although they should be locked away for a long long time.

I am against capital punishment as I dont feel any conviction can ever be safe.

Take for instance the Birmingham 6 locked up for years, several appeals before it comes to light that evidence was largely fabricated by police and confessions gained by 'mental torture', and that information that could have assisted their case was witheld.

You could take the view of the famous 'crackpot' Judge Pickles, who stated before they had their final appeal. 'If we had hanged them we wouldn't have this nonsense'.

They may have spent many years in jail, but at least they lived to be vindicated.

Why not make them take whatever stash of drugs they are found with, if they are good enough to sell to others they must be good enough for them. Drug dealers are the scum of society.

Troodo, burn witches, why?

Bill,...........Alcohol is a drug, it's just a legal one, that's the only difference...It is addictive if misused, and can kill...

But you do need a licence to sell/deal it ............

Drug dealers are the scurge of society, they should be burnt at the stake, one drug baron in Mexico had enough cash in his house when it was raided, 22 billion US dollars to build so many schools and hospitals it was so grotesquely obscene

Longlarten prison. It was in there POA magazine in 1985 that the end of year account showed around 23000 pounds in circulation in the jail, they found it strange as there should of only been 13000.

opps, where did the other 10K come from they was asking,of course it was not bent screws changing up £10 and £20 pound notes and giving 50pence per pound to the cons, they are still wondering today where all the extra money came from.Thick pri**s.

There is so much drugs in jail, why lock people up to get a habit?

How do cons get mobile fones in jail, the screws charge 500 pounds a fone for a basic little fone.good money isnt it.

In 1983 there was 1 guy making £1000 a week selling a bit of weed, now they are making several thousand pound a week selling a bit of brown.

the money is sent direct to the persons outside contact from there family, the screws bring in the gear and they get paid off outside,1 ounce of heroin make maybe 5000 pounds in jail, the screws are to blame for addiction in

Interesting how so many on this forum are 100% in favour of 'law & order' and so pro-police when it comes to riots but, strangely, not so when it comes to drug-crime.

Omaintenance,

i think it was Wandsworth prision they had the biggest drug problem in. I read the figure somewhere and it was amazing. I think if they don't let so much get into the UK jails they will have trouble keeping control of them. They are down on prison officer numbers and with the overcrowding wouldn't be able to cope unless the inmates were subdued by drugs.

Yes, the big boys. They never see the tragic consequences of their business. Dead kids before they are in their 20s, families broken - and the big fish are so removed from it all. I could go on and on about it but anybody who traffics drugs are scum. But of course the biggies are hardly ever caught - mostly the mules then onto the little dealers.

So if you legalised drugs, do you think the drug problem would be worse or better?

Do you think more young people would try them or less?

It won't solve the problem. The only thing it would solve is the drugs people took would be clean, nobody would die from a bad batch so to speak.

Drug dealers need to go to jail.

Drug addicts need long term help and care.
