noticed on older topics regarding real ale, that it was due to arrive in north cyprus, can anyone tell me if it has and if so where, staying in girne in september and hubby likes his real ale.

Well there is now John Smiths and Murphy's available on tap but not real ale as you and me would know it.

Miles too hot for real ale, a cask would cloud within hours. only keg beer can stand the heat

Efes brown might suit as a local substitute .. 'Brandy' in Cyprus all too often isn't exactly Hine level Cognac ;)



It's best served with soda water, lemon jice and a dash of Angostura Bitters - a aka Brandy sour
