I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and have a Lexmark X2310 printer. I need to download the Lexmark All in One Centre and have been trying for the best part of 3 hours now..to no avail. The disc I have for the printer is not compatible and I have been to the Lexmark website. It seems to download some of it (How to uninstall and launch manager but not the actual part to scan, print etc).

Is there any kind Techie out there who can give me a fool-proof link to use so that I can do it????

Thanks

Are you using windows vista 32 bit or 64 bit as there are different drivers for each version and you need to use the correct ones. If you right click on 'my computer' and select properties it should say if you have 32bit or 64 bit windows vista.

A complete package of all the software you need including drivers should be downloadable here for 32 bit

and here for 64bit

Nope, tried those (they were the ones I tried before posting here) and I can still only see the Unistaller and Launch Manager.. no sign of the All in One Centre... this is SO frustrating!

Sue I am having the same problem setting up an HP deskjet all in one.

Managed to print out a wireless network test report which say amongst other thing,

'Your HP printer cannot find your access point. Check that your access point is powered on. Check that your HP printer network name (SSID) matches your access point network name (SSID). If they don't match exactely, run the wireless network setup to configure your HP printer'

Think a trip to Laconic is on the cards or I also will be at this all day!

The problem couldn't be a "genuine Windows Vista version" - for only 35 Lira, could it?!

Happened ages ago and lots of updates since so system restore not really an option.

Guess I have to bite the bullet and go to a shop......hate to be beaten by the beastly machine!!!!!!

Have you tried the Microsoft Fixit webpage?

Well worth giving that a try.
