I was thinking of buying an Xbox 360 from the UK and also buying a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live from the UK as well. I'm a bit of a novice and was wondering if i have to set up my Xbox live account in the UK and activate my membership, or whether I have to wait until I get back to North Cyprus to do it, as I've read on the internet that there are regions that you have to set it up with?



Also, what is the minimum internet speed i would need to play?



Sorry for all the questions, there is not much information on the internet about Xbox live in Cyprus.

You can put your locale as UK in the Xbox settings. But before you bring an Xbox all the way from the UK it might be prudent to test it out in the UK just in case it's DOA.

My son's got an Xbox 360 with Kinnect and he set it up in the UK, Microsoft can check the IP but it appears not to matter. When we connected it up here a warning message came up saying you may not have full internet access but in fact we do.

thankyou very much Groucho, i appreciate your help, i will test in the UK first and set up my membership there, as I want to be able to play my brother who's in the UK.
