importing jetski from uk

Hi all, new to all this so please bare with me, i am lucky enough have a holiday home here in trnc but am not permanent resident and want to bring over my 2 old jet-skis, value aprox £2k the pair, is it worth doing as have heard frightening tales of tax issues?? my house is furnished so dont need to fill a container etc, any help greatly appreciated

not sure but think you would have to pay import duty and it wont be cheap



where would you leave them when you are not here they might walk !!!

We have brought over a jet ski a couple of months ago. Hubby dealt with all the tax offices, he had no problems.

We were charged £500 tax on a ski estimated to be worth 1k

yes i also have a SEA DOO jet ski there in alsanjack sits on a decent trailer .... i just had it serviced [£250.00] and carb re-built using genuine sea doo parts [from usa ] ..it is the XP high comp. model very very very fast .i had it upto 55mph on a lake once ... its total hours of use woudnt be over 10 [hours] !!! i bought it in the usa off a fellow who son bought it new ,and only used it for a month [spoilt little brat] anyway id sell it for £2800.00 if anyone is interested .... im in uk at mo. +44 7971 339854 .. mrburpi@hotmail.com

what years the seadoo? you say 10 hrs total use from new or since rebuild? i it in uk or cyprus? cheer steve

I am based in UK and travel back and forth to TRNC doing deliveries. At the moment I have a delivery outstanding fro TRNC to Malaga and the person I was taking a load out to TRNC has dropped out. It would seem sensible to me to take your existing jet skis out rather than buy again. I could bring other stuff out at the same time for you.
