I have just been looking on the Pegasus website for flights from and to Northern Cyprus and the baggage allowance. I have noticed that if the flight is from and to Northern Cyprus the excess baggage charge if pre-booked is extremely reasonable. Details as below: Excess Baggage Charge (per KG) AIRPORT Excess Baggage Charge (per KG) WEB/AGT/CALL CENTER Flights from / to Northern Cyprus 5 TL 3 TL Flights from / to UK 9 GBP 6 GBP Has anyone booked this and if so do you have to book it both ways or can you just book for the return to Northern Cyprus.

I pre booked extra 20 kilo from Manchester to Ercan, last March. Checkin at Manchester could not find my payment on computer. They phoned Istanbul, - my payment was not on system. My friend here works for Pegasus, he had booked my ticket from here , he texted info to Manchester, they would not except text details, so I was Charged £120. excess, told me i could request refund for my original payment. My Luggage was left in UK. It arrived here 1 week later, suitcases soaking wet, ripped open, many items missing. Still no refund from Pegasus. Solicitor's here all want min £2,500 to take on my conpensation case, BUT state i would prob only receive £1500 compensation, To continue i would be so out of pocket. NOT happy with Pegasus at all. Be warned.

Even more After charging me £120 they then noticed i was carrying my small handbag and a carrier bag which contained my wedding dress. They informed me i was only allowed 1 item as hand luggage. They told me if i wanted to carry my handbag and my wedding dress on board, i would have to loose 5 kilo's from my suitcase. As checkin was nearly closed, i had 2 mins to decide. I argued as i had paid £90 extra when I booked ticket, plus £120 excess (as my payment was not on their system) To keep my wedding dress 5 kilo was thrown away before i was allowed to board. I had placed the bag containing my dress on top of the trolley, whilst complaining at the checkin desk. When i went to move the trolley, a cup of coffee had been placed on the trolley by someone in the queue behind me. The coffee spilled all over the bag. My dress had coffee all down one side, I was furious. As you can immagine.
