Thanks for all the helpful info provided on best places to go for railings. I am reluctant to visit anyone suggested without knowing a rough idea of the cost per metre. This is my first summer in the villa and the 'little jobs' have taken a toil on my bank balance! So, don't want to visit a supplier just in case their price ( as fair as it might be) is more than I can currently afford - don't want to mess them about.

If you go to them and ask for a quote that's not messing them about, you could go to half a dozen to get the best price and then you select one. They know the score.

I know - I'm just awful at doing this or haggling ! People are so friendly and helpful I'm reluctant to take their help without buying. I know, and I also know ice been called a sucker too!

I know what you mean and I was the same but when I wanted railings I went to three different Blacksmiths to get the best price, because like you it was an unexpected major expense and I didn't want to pay more than I needed to.
