First you need english driving license, then you need to get greek road tax free at border between 7am to 2pm then you can get your insurance cost 25 euros. You need to this in the time frame i mentioned. You also need your log book cant' recall if its got to be in your name i think it as.

Not clear from your posting whether the vehicle has actually been taken over the border before. If it hasn't you will need to go across with your car papers and go to the first office on the right to get a 'TOM'. This is a bit of government paper which is issued free but which you need before you can buy insurance. Unfortunately the office is only open from about 8-2 so if you are not going until the evening you won't be able to get this which will necessitate going over in the morning for it. If the vehicle has been over before, then all you need is the TOM and to buy a month's insurance at one of the booths assuming that you don't have current insurance. Frankly, if this is a one off trip, I don't think I'd bother but just get a taxi.

I don't understand how taking a taxi would be worth it? she'd be saving tons of money by taking her own car.

I took a friend over with his car(uk plates) to larnaca airport, because car had a valid european green card, but they wouldn't let me drive as we were crossing over,so we had to change over the drivers.I did drive the carback with no problems, but no checking by RoC officers on the way back. So,if the car(log book)does not have your name on it,they may not let you.
